Anteikan Dojo will be hosting a Yoshinkan Aikido Seminar, March 4-5, 2017 with renowned
International Yoshinkan Aikido Instructor, Robert Mustard Shihan, 8th degree black belt.
Yoshinkan Aikido is the official self defense system of the Japanese Riot police, one of the most
effective police forces in the world. It has been taught to hundreds of law enforcement
agencies and thousands of civilians all over the world.
258,000 Japanese Riot Police can't be wrong!
With over 40 years of training and teaching, Mustard Shihan is known for his inspiring
teaching, powerful techniques and unexpected gentle touch. A highly regarded and sought
after teacher, we are so happy that he has accepted our invitation to lead this seminar, open to
our aikido students and all martial artists in the North Bay area.
He started aikido in Toronto, and then went to Japan as a 3rd degree black belt to train at the
Yoshinkan Aikido Honbu (head quarters); training under the founder of this style, Gozo Shioda,
and his 2 top students. He soon was awarded the position of Chief Foreign Instructor for the
Riot Police and Instructors course. The book, Angry White Pyjamas is the author-Robert
Twigger's experience of this 11 month intensive Instructor's course, with Robert Mustard
Shihan as one of the instructors. His main focus then and to this day is to help make Yoshinkan
Aikido and its future generation of teachers strong. Based on the sword, this hand-to-hand
style of training creates beautiful and powerful techniques, by using the energy of your
attacker; making this type of martial art perfect for men, women and children.
For those who are interested to train with Mustard Shihan, we invite you to feel what aikido can do.
